Citadels

A compact edition of Bruno Faidutti’s Citadels, with a smaller box and a double-sided rules reference replacing the original rulebook.

I wanted Citadels to fit alongside my other small-box games, which share a 140×140 mm format. I made a new box using the original cover artwork, keeping the game’s visual identity and all its components while reducing the space it takes up on the shelf.

Rules reference

Rather than include the original rulebook, I designed a double-sided reference card that keeps the information needed to set up and play the game in one place.

The front groups setup, scoring, and the round sequence, with a table for the number of characters discarded at different player counts. This makes the procedures available without searching through a rulebook.

The reverse separates game configuration from the core procedures: six recommended character sets and variants for simultaneous selection and faster games. Keeping these options on the back leaves the main reference focused on regular play.
